The PFCU Rising Star Scholarship Program
Lifting our members up is at the heart of the PFCU Mission and Vision. Partnership Financial Credit Union and its Board of Directors is proud to have awarded over $44,000.00 scholarship dollars in 2024, with a cap of up to $3,000 to each eligible scholarship recipient.
What is the PFCU Rising Star Scholarship Program?
The PFCU Rising Star Scholarship Program is an opportunity for graduating high school seniors to receive financial support in their future academic and/or career-oriented pursuits. (Higher Education, Vocational/Trade School, Cosmetology Institutions or Fine Arts Academies.)
What is a PFCU Rising Star?
We have four key traits we look for in a PFCU Rising Star
Passion - Demonstrating the drive and motivation to work hard to achieve your goal.
Focus - Demonstrating a pattern of improvement and growth indicative of a directed level of concentration and attention to achieving your passion.
Charity - Sharing your time/gifts or donations.
Uniqueness - Participating in a variety of extra-curricular activities that show us not only who you are, but also what makes you different from everyone else.
Scholarships will be awarded based on merit and/or financial need.
Who is eligible for this scholarship opportunity?
- You and/or your parent/legal guardian must have established a membership with PFCU by 8/01/2024.
- You must plan to attend an accredited institution/school as stated above and must maintain good standing. *Students at all GPA levels are encouraged to apply.
Your completed application must include the following items:
- An official high school transcript of all completed semesters/quarters
- Three letters of recommendation
- Two letters from student’s teachers
- One letter from an adult member of your community (other than a relative/neighbor/family friend)
- A personal statement outlining your goals and aspirations (500 word minimum)
- The following information in resume format (see appendix for sample)
- Awards and special recognitions
- Any and all leadership roles
- Past and present extracurricular activities (i.e. sports, community service, work experience, house of worship)
All applications are due by March 1st, 2025.
Requirements of Scholarship Funds
- Funds must be used for tuition, books, room or board (or a combination thereof).
- The funds will be paid directly to the authorized institution/school.

Process
1. Register
Click on the "Register" link and complete and submit the registration form.
2. Login
Login to the application with your email and password.
3. Create
Create your online application.
4. Save
During the Call for Applications period, your application can be saved as DRAFT until all the required information is completed and attachments uploaded. As each section is complete, you will see a appear in the category tab when the application is saved. At any time, you can download and print your application by clicking on the icon in the Application Summary section.
5. Submit
On completion, save your Nomination as FINAL. Download and print a copy of your application for your records by clicking on the icon in the Application Summary section in the right column. Note: If an update is required prior to the Call for Applications period, you can make the update and resave as FINAL.
